CHRIST WAS FOREKNOWN

Christ was foreknown before the foundation of the world. If Christ is already been existing before the foundation of the world, then there would not be any need to “foreknow” Him, so to speak. Thus, the fact that He was foreknown before the foundation of the world proves that during that time, He did not exist yet.

“He was FOREKNOWN before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you.”(1 Peter 1:20)

“Foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, he has been manifested in the last times for your sakes.” (I Pet. 1:20, Confraternity Version,)"

That’s why God announced to his prophets the coming of Messiah

“1Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God – 2 THE GOSPEL HE PROMISED BEFOREHAND THROUGH HIS PROPHETS IN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES 3 REGARDING HIS SON, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, 4 and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.”(Rom. 1:1-4)

That’s why John the Baptist said “This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me’”(John 1:15& 30). Even though john the Baptist was the first to come before Christ(Matt. 11:10, Luke 7:27, Mal. 3:1)

That’s why Jesus said “before Abraham was born, I am!”(John 8:58), for the creation of Christ is the FIRST ONE that pop in God’s mind before the foundation of the world(1 Peter 1:20). And God made a promised to Abraham that his OFFSPRING (Christ) will bless people(Acts 3:25, Gen. 22:18 & 26:4, Gal. 3:16)

That’s why King David speak concerning of Christ for he foresaw him(Acts 2:25, KJV), for God make an everlasting covenant to David through his seed which is Christ(Is. 55:3, Psalm 16:10, Acts 13:34-35). That’s why Moses said “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen”(Deuteronomy 18:15-19, Acts 3:22, Acts 7:37)

Christ existed as a WORD/LOGOS/PLAN in the mind of the FATHER(1 Peter 1:20) before he came to existence or made flesh(John 1:1 & 14). But God's plan to send Him had found fulfillment only when He (Christ) was conceived and born of a woman named Mary through the Holy Spirit (Gal. 4:4; Matt. 1:18, 20).So, Christ was the very first in God's plan of creation though He was not the first to be created by God.
